Welcome to High Tower Surprise, my board game design learning and sharing website.

As I learn things I take a deep dive into them, learn, think, learn, and think, make notes, and write about everything I discover.

Why High Tower Surprise?

I named it that because it’s a famous story beat illuminated by the late, great, Blake Snyder, of Save The Cat! fame, and because in my High Tower Surprise game when you take an opponent’s Tower you win everything in it–it’s always a surprise.

What is High Tower Surprise the website?

This is a place where I share everything I learn about designing, creating, launching and growing a board game and audience.

Do you have a game High Tower Surprise?

YES! Glad you asked. See the game on the Game page. It’s in a final, playable version with minor tuning now to get it ready for larger test gameplay.
